Super Brothers

Can you tell the inspiration for these capes?  Two lucky brothers (no, not my boys!) will be getting these as Christmas presents this year.  Maybe not your typical superheroes, but it was fun trying to figure out how to depict these guys.

That's right - it's the Super Mario Bros!  Hope the little guys who will be finding these under their tree are excited!

Tutu Cute!

This little tutu is for a brand new baby who just came into the world recently.  A parent of one of my former students bought this to celebrate the birth of her friends' daughter.  I'm hoping that they'll take a picture and let me post it here!

This tutu was made with a 1" ribbon and over 40 yards of tulle.  The tulle is nice and soft so it won't bother baby's skin for those adorable first portraits.

Any George Mason fans out there?

No, not really. But as I was putting this one together I realized that I couldn't have picked the GMU colors any better if I had tried!  This one is for the son of a very good friend.  He happens to be just 2 weeks older than my second little guy.  She told me his favorite colors are green and yellow and to just "put a lightening bolt or something" on it.  This is what turned out!

This one has to go in the mail so it can reach PA in time to be put under the tree . . . now, do I wrap it up so it's a surprise for Mommy and Daddy too or just put it in tissue so that she can see it before he opens it??? Hmmm . . . questions, questions.

Woody Inspired Cape

Look carefully - can you tell who inspired this cape?  I have to say that I'm pretty proud of this one - I designed all the elements and I think it turned out nicely.  I can only hope that the little guy who receives this for Christmas is just as pleased!!

The first side is inspired by Woody's cow-print vest.

The back side is a cowboy hat and the young man's initial.  Pretty good for somebody who isn't so kreative, huh?

Tutus

These tutus are also fully customizable - waist size and type (ribbon or elastic), ribbon color, tulle color and length.  They provide lots of fun dress up opportunities for the littles running around your house!

These were both made for a 4 year old girl (one of my oldest son's preschool classmates) for her birthday party.  They both have ribbon closures and are about 16" long.  

Superhero Capes

This is the cape I made for my nephew's birthday.  His dad is a HUGE fan of superhero type guys (even ones I had never heard of!)  My sister claims that it's hard to get this one off the little guy!

As you can see, it is double-sided and has snap closures.  This is the "deluxe" version of the cape since both sides have an applique. 

This can be fully customized for your little superhero!
